Solutions Architect, Federal Civilian; AWS

Overview

Solutions Architects lead complex cloud deployments that drive mission outcomes in production. You will embed with our most strategic federal civilian customers—where workload performance matters, delivery timelines are important, and requirements evolve constantly. You'll map their technical challenges, structure delivery approaches, and ship solutions fast. This includes scoping, sequencing, and architecting full-stack cloud solutions that create measurable mission value, while driving clarity across internal AWS teams and external agency stakeholders.

You will work directly with federal civilian agency leaders as their technical thought partner, guiding cloud adoption, maximizing mission impact, and ensuring successful deployments ng the way, you'll identify reusable architectural patterns, codify best practices, and share field signal that influences AWS's product and service roadmap.

• Own technical delivery for federal civilian customers adopting AWS—from whiteboard session to production at scale.
• Design cloud architectures that solve real mission problems and ship GenAI and data solutions using the full breadth of AWS.
• Lead technical engagements end-to-end—scoping requirements, defining architectures, responding to RFPs, and driving implementations to production.
• Serve as the customer's technical thought partner on security, GenAI, analytics, and modernization.
• Codify best practices into reusable patterns for the broader SA community.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to accelerate adoption.

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications such as CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP.
• 1+ year of experience building AI applications with various frameworks.

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.

Salary: $ - $ USD annually

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
