Network Engineer - TS​/SCI

Network Engineer – TS/SCI Required at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT)

• Design, plan and build communications networks.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls and VPN concentrators for LAN, WAN, and data communication systems.
• Coordinate LAN/WAN hardware and software improvements and enhancements.
• Monitor network performance utilizing industry leading technologies.
• Provide innovative technical solutions and maintain compliance with company and customer quality standards.
• Analyze customer requirements and deliver solutions for complex problems.
• Maintain and upgrade networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls and remote access systems.
• Ensure network integrity, connectivity, policy compliance, and backup/recovery capability.
• Coordinate acquisition of hardware, software and subcontractor services.
• Build hardware and software components for computer and telecommunications networks.
• Lead and mentor less experienced network personnel.

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• IAT Level II certification.
• Networking certification:
  Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), Aruba.
• Willingness to obtain an Aruba certification within 90 days if not already held.
• Hands‑on experience with Aruba networking systems.
• Proven experience in routing protocols and L3 configurations.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Aruba certifications: ACSA and/or ACSP.

• Full‑time onsite at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
• Travel required less than 10%.
• Salary range approximately $119,000 – $161,000, depending on experience.
