DevSecOps Engineer

Job Description

This engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines supporting Kubernetes-based applications. On a daily basis, they will develop and enhance Terraform/Open Tofu infrastructure modules, manage Kubernetes clusters, create and maintain Helm charts, and support automated CI/CD pipelines across development, test, staging, and production environments.

They will partner closely with software engineers, platform teams, and security teams to embed security controls into deployment workflows through automated scanning, policy enforcement, secrets management, and compliance controls. The role will also involve troubleshooting production issues, monitoring platform health through observability tools, debugging Kubernetes workloads, conducting root cause analysis following incidents, and continuously improving reliability, scalability, and security across the organization's cloud platforms.

Additionally, this individual will help drive Infrastructure-as-Code standards, Git Ops adoption, and platform automation initiatives that improve deployment speed while maintaining strong security and governance practices.

• 8+ years in Dev Ops, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Dev Sec Ops
• 5+ years focused on Dev Sec Ops
• Strong Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience
• Terraform and/or Open Tofu expertise
• Strong Helm chart development and deployment experience
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, container scanning, secrets scanning)
• Git Ops and Infrastructure-as-Code experience
• Python, Go, or similar scripting/programming language
• Monitoring, logging, and observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Open Telemetry)
• Experience supporting highly available production environments and performing root cause analysis Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd, Consul)
• Policy-as-Code (OPA, Sentinel)
• Open Tofu experience
• Kustomize
• Vault or enterprise secrets management
• SBOM and container runtime security
• Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• FedRAMP, NIST, or SOC 2 compliance experience
