The AWS Classified Regions Go to Market (GTM) team is looking for an experienced Technical Sr. Program Manager to join our high-impact team. In this role, you will shape the GTM technical strategy and roadmap for the AWS classified cloud to deliver prioritized capabilities and solutions that address the unique mission needs of our national security customers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of product/project management fundamentals, including business case, risk management, technical requirements capture, and experience with classified programs and cloud technology/infrastructure.
They will also effectively communicate business and technical content to senior leadership, both verbally and in writing. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.
- Define the Classified cloud GTM technical strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams across AWS region infrastructure and cloud services organizations to deliver prioritized capabilities and solutions for national security customers.
- Partner with customers and AWS teams to ensure successful IT workload deployment and a great customer experience.
- Drive process and technology improvements that reduce friction and accelerate capability deployment for customers.
- Proactively address technical, security, and compliance requirements for national security customers and industry partners.
- Develop and present technical solution proposals to leadership in support of customer needs and GTM strategy.
- Create run‑books, go‑to‑market technical materials, and supporting content to enable customer adoption and accelerate onboarding.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years experience with CMMC, DFARS, FedRAMP, DOD SRG, ICD, ITAR, NIST, and other compliance/security program requirements across national security organizations and the supporting industrial base
- 5+ years of experience with architecting, implementing, authorization, and supporting classified information technology systems
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- Strong technical competency and experience in the areas of cloud computing, web services, and enterprise software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and solutions at any level of an organization
- MS degree in a technical field or MBA
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
