Data Engineer – Government Clearance Eligible

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering and analytics projects within the Palantir Foundry platform
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Foundry’s Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories
• Connect and sync external source systems into Foundry using Data Connection
• Design and extend object types, properties, and links in Ontology Manager
• Enforce automation, version control, orchestration, and health monitoring via Data Lineage
• Define and enforce data architecture standards for distributed environments
• Build scalable, rule-based methods in Foundry to assess data quality
• Leverage Data Lineage to trace dataset provenance
• Tune pipeline schedules, workloads, and resource allocation
• Work directly with analysts, product leads, and mission stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and establish Foundry engineering standards for naming, object design, testing, and change management

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics engineering
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining production‑grade pipelines, data connections, and ontologies in Palantir Foundry (Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Ontology Manager, Data Lineage, Workshop)
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; comfort with Type Script/Java Script
• Traditional data lakehouse experience (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt)
• Familiarity with Foundry Data Connection architecture — setting up sources and syncs from external systems
• Proven delivery in DoD or federal environments
• Familiarity with Navy, DON, or DoD logistics, financial, or personnel data landscapes
• Strong communication skills; able to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Palantir Foundry Data Engineer or Application Developer certification preferred
• Eligibility to obtain US Government Security Clearance
