The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Solutions Architects collaborate with AWS Sales and other AWS teams to help address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. As a trusted customer advocate, you guide organizations in adopting advanced cloud-based solutions and migrating workloads to the cloud.

You’ll develop and implement a strategy to build mindshare and increase adoption of AWS, communicating effectively with teams across AWS and representing your team to executive management.

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for complex customer requirements, making technical trade‑offs and evaluating architectures for scale while ensuring solutions are extensible, reusable, secure, reliable, cost‑optimized, and performant.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer senior leaders, understanding their business objectives and technical challenges to influence strategic direction and ensure technology decisions will meet long‑term business outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences, creating technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others while harmonizing discordant views to build consensus.
• Lead technical discussions and dive deeply into technical details with customer teams across application architecture, system design, and implementation considerations, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities.
• Drive effective customer feedback gathering, distilling and translating feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams while contributing to reference designs and reusable artifacts.
• Travel is mostly regional, and post pandemic is expected to 15–20%.

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
