Join rockITdata as a Release & Deployment Manager supporting one of the nation's largest federal healthcare modernization initiatives.In this role, you'll lead the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise software releases that deliver secure, reliable healthcare technology solutions to Veterans nationwide. Working closely with engineering, testing, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and Government stakeholders, you'll oversee release planning from development through production deployment while ensuring minimal operational disruption and maximum system reliability.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage enterprise release strategies, deployment schedules, and implementation plans supporting multiple project work streams.
- Coordinate software releases across engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, testing, cloud operations, and Government stakeholders.
- Lead release planning meetings, deployment readiness reviews, and production go/no-go decision activities.
- Develop release calendars and coordinate implementation timelines across multiple technical teams.
- Manage production deployment activities, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and post-deployment validation.
- Monitor release progress, implementation risks, and deployment dependencies while coordinating issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Test Engineers, Engineering Leads, Configuration Management, and cybersecurity teams to ensure production readiness.
- Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, implementation records, and operational runbooks.
- Track release metrics, implementation performance, and lessons learned to improve future deployment activities.
- Promote Dev Sec Ops , automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and release management best practices across the program.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Five (5) years of experience managing enterprise software releases, deployments, or implementation activities.
- Experience coordinating production releases across multiple technical teams within complex IT environments.
- Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD, or hybrid software development methodologies.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Service Now, Git, Jenkins, or similar release management and collaboration tools.
- ITIL Foundation, PMP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience supporting cloud-based implementations, including AWS Gov Cloud or Azure Government, is preferred.
- Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.
