Position Overview SDA Solutions is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support a mission-critical Department of Defense program in Arlington, Virginia. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure AWS cloud infrastructure while supporting automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration, and enterprise cloud modernization initiatives within a classified environment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated cloud professional with experience designing and supporting AWS cloud environments, automating infrastructure deployments, and implementing secure cloud solutions using modern Dev Sec Ops  practices.

Responsibilities
Design, build, deploy, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise operations.
Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) activities, including operational engineering, system integration, release management, implementation, migration, and knowledge transfer.
Develop and maintain AWS cloud solutions utilizing Cloud Formation, EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, S3, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and other cloud technologies.
Configure and administer AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, KMS, and AWS Config.
Improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continual service improvement.
Automate deployments and operational tasks using Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
Develop automated integration, regression, and acceptance testing processes.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including build guides, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks.
Support classified and unclassified integration and testing environments prior to production deployment.
Stage new services, applications, and infrastructure updates for testing and validation.
Design and implement improvements to enterprise cloud architecture utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Dev Sec Ops  best practices.
Support deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management using Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, Git Lab, and Bitbucket.
Maintain cloud infrastructure code repositories and associated documentation.
Support system patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, compliance tracking, and security monitoring.
Participate in release management activities and Agile software development processes.
Develop automation to streamline provisioning, patching, backups, scaling, and routine maintenance.

Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of Information Technology experience. Additional education, training, or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum four (4) years of experience supporting AWS cloud technologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience implementing AWS cloud environments utilizing Ansible, Cloud Formation, Terraform, EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, Docker, Git, and S3.
Experience building end-to-end cloud solutions using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or PHP along with the AWS SDK.

Experience with deployment orchestration, infrastructure automation, and configuration management using Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, Git Lab, and Bitbucket.
Experience designing and supporting AWS cloud architectures.
Required Certification Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification. Acceptable certifications include:
Security+ CE
CySA+
CCNA Security
GSEC
SSCP
CND
GICSP
Equivalent DoD-approved IAT Level II certification

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DISA or other Department of Defense enterprise environments.
Experience working within Amazon C2S cloud environments.
Experience supporting Citrix VDI/VDA environments.

Experience with Dev Sec Ops  methodologies and Agile software development.
Experience supporting enterprise cloud modernization initiatives.
