The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to implement, automate, and manage AWS solutions to protect customer assets, enable customer security teams to operate more effectively, and ensure customers don’t accept unnecessary risk.

Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Cloud Security Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current security capabilities, and develop and implement optimized security controls in AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for executing implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices, and managing customer security risks throughout the project.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings that help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption and delivers focused guidance through our global specialty practices, covering a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Implement, automate, and manage scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
  • Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route
    53 & S3)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
  • 1+ year of experience automating security operations, including scripting and automation to build scalable and secure environments, automating security assessments and remediation workflows, and implementing security policies as code
  • 3+ years of any combination of the following: application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional level certification
  • Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
  • AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, Dev Ops Engineer Professional, Certified Security Specialty) preferred
  • Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions (e.g., WAF, IPS, Anti‑DDOS, SIEM)
  • Experience in automation through Dev Ops scripting (e.g., shell, python, ruby, Power Shell)
  • Experience in the healthcare and life sciences industry, including familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (HIPAA, GxP) and clinical data standards (OMOP, CDISC, FHIR)
