* The Opportunity:
** The 508 Accessibility Analyst will be responsible for the 508-compliance testing, usability testing, and quality testing for DHS CISA documents and content. This candidate will create and convert existing documents into versions that are Section 508 Accessibility compliant.
** Responsibilities:*
* • Performs Section 508 compliance tests on web products and content (e.g. PDFs).
• Works collaboratively with leads, developers, and project managers.
• Attains DHS accessibility training including DHS Trusted Tester accreditation to ensure websites and products are tested and validated as accessibility compliant according to Section 508.
• Ensures websites and documents are compliant with DHS mandates, policies, and guidelines such as adhering to Section 508 Accessibility laws, IT regulations, complying with standard operating procedures and program processes as determined by leadership, etc.
• Maintains DHS required 508 certifications such as trusted tester.
• Brings a collaborative, team-centric attitude and enthusiasm that encourages outreach and partnership.

* • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)
• Associates degree + 6 years experience or 10 years applicable experience
• Proficient using an automated testing technology such as JAWS for Section 508 compliance screen reading
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience testing for 508 accessibility compliance
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong initiative to proactively establishing relationships, finding opportunities to innovate and improve value, as well as providing new ideas for improvement
• Able to understand the day-to-day operational needs of customers and identify areas for improvement in business processes and propose solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

** Pay Range**:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:$78,700 - $165,200
