IT SRE Observability Operations Engineer
Required
Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise production environments, cloud platforms, or Site Reliability Engineering functions.
• Experience with Datadog observability solutions, including dashboards, logging, monitoring, and synthetic testing.
• Strong proficiency with:
- Python
- Power Shell
- SQL
• Experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and executive-level scorecards.
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate workflow development.
• Familiarity with:
- Azure Monitor
- Azure Log Analytics
- Git-based source control
- CI/CD pipelines
- API integrations
• Experience creating and operationalizing metrics, logs, traces, and monitoring frameworks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Graph API integrations.
• Understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience operating within regulated, compliance-driven, or government cloud environments.

Skills & Experience:
• Involvement in root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes
• Familiarity with security audits and compliance-driven environments
• Dashboard/report creation for operational KPIs and SLA tracking

Job Description:
One of our largest defense customers is looking for a trusted IT SRE Observability Operations Engineer to lead complex cloud and infrastructure environments, ensuring stability and performance in a highly visible role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Operations Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support mission-critical SAP and cloud platforms operating within Azure Government. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence of SAP S/4
HANA (RISE/NS2) and Xeta Cloud environments through automation, proactive monitoring, and data-driven operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud operations, observability engineering, automation, and enterprise platform support. This individual will partner closely with SAP Basis, infrastructure, integration, and application teams to build scalable operational capabilities, improve system reliability, and reduce operational risk across complex cloud ecosystems.
Compensation: $60-90/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
