Secret AIOps Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an AIOps Engineer for a federal technology client supporting a critical initiative focused on modernizing IT operations through Artificial Intelligence. This individual will join a newly established team tasked with introducing AI capabilities into enterprise operations and helping accelerate project delivery through automation and operational intelligence. The ideal candidate comes from a strong IT Operations background and understands how systems perform in real-world production environments.

They will leverage AIOps, observability tooling, Service Now ITOM, cloud technologies, and AI/ML concepts to improve monitoring, automate incident response, establish proactive operational insights, and drive measurable improvements in system performance. This role offers the opportunity to help shape a growing AI-driven operations capability while working closely with federal stakeholders in a highly visible environment.

• -Deploy AI-driven monitoring and operational intelligence solutions.
• -Develop automation for incident detection, response, and remediation.
• -Analyze operational data to identify patterns and predict failures.
• -Implement event correlation and anomaly detection.
• -Integrate AI tools with ITSM platforms.
• -Reduce alert fatigue through intelligent automation.
• -Build dashboards and operational analytics.
• -Improve system availability and performance through AI insights.

• -12+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
• -5–10 years of hands‑on experience in IT operations and cloud environments
• -Proficiency with AIOps platforms for automating IT operations
• -Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and their applications in IT
• -Experience using observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, and New Relic
• -Expertise in Service Now ITOM for IT operations management
• -Advanced Python scripting skills for automation and data processing
• -Proven ability in data analytics to drive operational insights
• -Solid knowledge of cloud operations and best practices and automation frameworks
  -AI/ML certifications preferred
• -Cloud certifications
• -ITIL Foundation
• -Splunk/Dynatrace certifications beneficial
