The work:
AWS Cloud Engineer will deploy, configure, and operate OpenFGA infrastructure on AWS EKS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Responsibilities:
Deploy and configure OpenFGA on AWS EKS cluster
Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / Argo CD)
Configure networking, load balancing, and service mesh
Ensure security compliance (IAM, security groups, encryption, network policies)
Manage database infrastructure for OpenFGA (RDS/Aurora)
Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures
Optimize resource utilization and costs
Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support
Document infrastructure architecture and runbooks
Experience in cloud engineering, preferably AWS.
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Argo CD
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git Lab
Understanding of networking concepts like VPN, VPCs, DNS, and load balancing
Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell
Active Secret clearance
Must be willing to go onsite 2-3x/week in Arlington

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.

$78,600—$160,200 USD
