Description

Global Field Operations (GFO) is a team within AWS Infrastructure Services that manages all non-traditional infrastructure deployments - everything outside of data centers. We operate in 80+ countries, serving strategic customers at high velocity and complexity. We move fast, scale relentlessly, and obsess over delivering complex hardware to where it needs to go, on time.

In this role, the Supply Chain Program Manager will own a discrete scope end-to-end: working with vendors, internal customers, and peer teams to deliver measurable operational performance, identify and drive improvements, and build high-impact projects that enable us to operate s is an opportunity for high ownership and deliver results with real, tangible scope.

We support the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling that keep the cloud running and our customers innovating. We work on some of the most challenging supply chain problems in the industry - thousands of variables, global reach, and the expectation of continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, the PM will be responsible for:

  • Owning continuity of supply and demand forecast accuracy for GFO's global hardware portfolio

  • Building forecasting mechanisms that connect customer demand signals to procurement actions, closing the gap between what we promise and what we deliver

  • Navigating global supply constraints in real time, making trade‑off decisions that keep critical deployments on track when conditions shift

  • Building and implementing plans that improve supply chain efficiency, scalability, and resilience

  • Driving root cause analysis and resolution with internal teams and external vendors, with a focus on preventing recurrence

  • Documenting and sharing best practices; creating robust standard work that enables the program to scale beyond the individual

  • Partnering with engineering, logistics, and finance to design supply strategies for new product introductions, ensuring Day 1 readiness in every region we operate

A day in the life

A day in the life of a GFO Supply Chain PM:

  • Run the business. You monitor forecast accuracy, supplier commitments, inventory positions, and delivery timelines across multiple of active programs. When something breaks (in global SC, something always does), you contain it fast, drive resolution, and fix the root cause.

  • Build the future. You own a roadmap of improvements to the processes in your scope. Some weeks that's tuning a forecasting model; in others, it's developing new supplier relationships. You identify what's limiting us at scale, and change it

  • About the team

The Global Field Operations (GFO) Supply Chain team manages all supply chain activities from hardware production through field spares. Within the team are also PMs that manage projects like integrating new programs into GFO, driving improved automation and coordinating with other teams on launching new types of hardware.
