Description

We are seeking a motivated and data‑driven procurement category manager to support the Americas data center construction space. The candidate should have strong supply chain and procurement skills, analytical and financial acumen, communication capabilities, and a hands‑on passion to dive deep into processes used in our data center operations network. Additionally, the candidate must have proven skills in managing large‑scale supply chain and procurement improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement sourcing strategies within the construction services category.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and lower costs for Amazon.
  • Develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery.
  • Drive results through competitive bidding, negotiation, and data analysis of market trends.
  • Influence customers and suppliers at all levels while maintaining a high level of customer focus and business judgment.
  • Work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and execute strategically and methodically.
  • Apply data analysis and financial modeling to support business cases and decision making.
  • Own end‑to‑end execution of projects, ensuring on‑time delivery and measurable outcomes.

A Day in the Life

Each day you will collaborate with various teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers, prioritizing activities that support data center capacity availability and safety. You will have the opportunity to work on both local and global projects.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and everything that ensures customer access to our services. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Basic

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Python.
  • Experience in global supply chain management and managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of program, project, or product management experience.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in program, project, or product management, including leading implementation processes.
  • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.

The base salary range for this position is 79,500.00 –  USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
