As a key member of the PEG Corporate Inspections Team, you will be responsible for training field personnel on the PEG HVAC Grading Program and acting as the point of contact for troubleshooting complex HVAC service calls. You will analyze issues, formulate solutions, and communicate them effectively to HVAC contractors. The position requires becoming a Certified HERS Rater in addition to other certifications (e.g., HVAC Grading Field Assessor, QAD – Quality Assurance Delegate) that enable you to manage direct reports and ensure Completed Home Energy Audits meet RESNET Guidelines.
LocationThe geographic area for this position covers a 200‑mile radius centered on Arlington, VA, including Maryland, Delaware, and part of Pennsylvania. Travel to other markets may be required.
Essential Functions Start Process- Manage complex service calls concerning comfort and airflow issues.
- Ensure thorough training of all assigned personnel in accordance with the ACCA 310 HVAC Grading and Air Balancing Program.
- Establish and enforce quality standards for the client.
- Monitor adherence to all phases of the client’s established processes and PEG programs.
- Assist in resolving client issues during PEG’s Quality Assurance period.
- Ensure submission of all necessary documentation (reports and pictures) for inspections within required periods.
- Assist in completing requirements for the Quality Assurance program.
- Maintain a mutually beneficial relationship between contractors and clients.
- Ensure adherence to the ACCA 310 HVAC Grading and Air Balancing Program by contractors and clients.
- Solicit feedback and provide support to clients for handling contractor conflicts, making final decisions on issue resolution.
- Resolve client conflicts during the inspection process.
- Follow up with clients after inspection to ensure understanding of submitted documentation.
- Provide proper training to clients on the ACCA 310 HVAC Grading and Air Balancing Program.
- Review client feedback regarding the program and implement necessary changes or improvements.
- Document conversations with clients, subcontractors, and other parties when litigation may arise.
- Stay current on all codes and code changes, communicating information to management as necessary.
- Determine ways to execute all functions of the ACCA 310 HVAC Grading and Air Balancing Program efficiently, addressing deficits, controlling costs, and improving client satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the company and effectively communicate this information to clients and personnel.
