Housekeeper
Carlin Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center | Arlington, VA
Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour based on experience
Carlin Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a dependable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team! If you take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, we would love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities- Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces
- Clean bathrooms and ensure they are properly stocked
- Follow proper infection control and sanitation procedures
- Safely use cleaning products, equipment, and supplies
- Collect and dispose of trash and other waste appropriately
- Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping storage area
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged equipment to management
- Help maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents
- Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention guidelines
- Work cooperatively with nursing, laundry, dietary, and other departments
- Treat residents, families, and coworkers with professionalism and respect
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hotel, healthcare, or similar experience preferred
- Long-term care experience is a plus
- Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
- Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the facility
