Job Description Shape the Future of the EdTech Ecosystem

We are seeking a visionary and commercially sophisticated leader to serve as Senior Director of Industry Strategy & Revenue. This executive role sits at the intersection of mission and market — driving how our organization engages the education and edtech ecosystem while building sustainable earned revenue that fuels long-term impact.

This is not a traditional sales role. It is a strategic leadership opportunity for someone who understands K–12 systems, believes in high-quality, research-aligned solutions, and knows how to convert institutional credibility into meaningful, mission-aligned revenue.

You will shape industry engagement strategy, oversee a portfolio of revenue-generating products and programs, lead industry-facing sales leadership, and serve as a trusted executive partner to some of the most influential companies and funders in the sector.

What You’ll Lead
Industry Strategy & Executive Engagement

You will define how the organization shows up in the marketplace — setting the strategy for vendor partnerships, sponsor ships, certifications, executive convening, and industry-facing programs.

You’ll serve as the senior-most representative in complex, multi-offering partnerships, establishing executive-level trust and positioning the organization as a thought leader in edtech procurement and quality assurance.

You will oversee a portfolio that may include certification programs, market intelligence platforms, collaborative initiatives, and executive convenings.

You’ll guide product leaders, set portfolio priorities, evaluate performance, and ensure offerings reinforce one another in a cohesive value story to industry partners.

Revenue Strategy & Sales Leadership

You will own the strategy for industry-facing earned revenue — including product revenue, sponsor ships, advertising, certifications, custom content, and ticketed events.

You’ll supervise sales leadership, establish pricing and revenue targets, monitor pipelines, and ensure revenue growth aligns with mission integrity and brand standards.

Market Insight & Organizational Influence

You will advise executive leadership on industry trends, purchasing behavior, and revenue implications.

You’ll act as the bridge between external market dynamics and internal strategic decision-making — helping shape what we build, how we position it, and where we invest.

Requirements The Leader We’re Looking For

You are a strategic thinker and systems-level operator who understands the education and edtech marketplace deeply. You have successfully led revenue-generating programs or portfolios while maintaining brand integrity and mission alignment.

You are comfortable in executive rooms — building trust with CEOs, founders, corporate leaders, and funders. You know how to structure complex partnerships, translate educator needs into compelling value propositions, and move opportunities from early cultivation to structured execution.

You likely bring:

8–12 years of leadership experience in education technology, partnerships, product strategy, or revenue leadership

Experience overseeing revenue portfolios and supervising sales leadership

Familiarity with certification programs, platform-based offerings, sponsor ships, or industry programs

A track record of growing earned revenue within mission-driven environments

Strong cross-functional leadership across product, sales, marketing, events, and executive teams

Why This Role Matters

The edtech ecosystem is evolving. Districts need trusted, research-based solutions. Vendors need meaningful pathways to demonstrate quality and connect with buyers. Funders are investing in systems that reduce friction and increase transparency.

This role exists to bring those worlds together — responsibly, strategically, and sustainably.

If you are energized by shaping markets, building executive-level partnerships, and balancing innovation with commercial discipline — this is a rare opportunity to lead at the center of the education ecosystem.
