JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Program Director the Clinical Coordinator/ Residential Coordinator (CC/RC) is responsible for the coordination of all clinical services and for the-to-day operation and customer service of the residential facilities.
Residential Coordinators are responsible for supervising the DSP/BSP staff in the group home. They ensure compliance of the group home staff with the training regulations and personnel file requirements, including having proper back ground checks, training, and competence. They are responsible for maintaining the budgeted and approved staffing hours for the home, and are required to work the shifts if a DSP/BSP is not availalbe.
Additionally, managing overtime, and controlling expenses and costs of the grocery budget and housekeeping supplies is also part of the job as a Residential Coordinator.
Residential Coordinators are responsible for maintaining the physical structure of the group home, including the cleanliness, and proper maintenance of the home. They ensure work ordres are completed properly, timely, and according to expectations. They make sure the home is odor free, and maintains an excellent "curb appeal" so it does not stand out in the neighborhood as an unkept home.
They are responsible for ensuring the yard is nicely kept, lawns mowed, bushes and trees pruned, leaves removed, etc. The proper maintenance and cleanliness of the company vehicles assigned to the group home are also the Residential Coordinator's responsibility.
Residential Coordinators are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and share rotation of weekend on-call status with other management team members.
Residential Coordinators will run doctor appointments with the individuals in the home, and help ensure they attend all preventative health care appointments and receive proper dental care as well.
Residential Coordinators work hand in hand with the Clinical Coordinators to ensure licensing regulations, local and state regulations regulations are met. Residential Coordinators conduct fire drills, safety and evacuation drills, grocery shop for the home, and provide overall supervision for the smooth running of the group home. They interact with family members, support coordinators, and other stake holders. They participate actively in the individual's PCP planning meeting, and they monitor the staff to make sure they are following each person's plans as they are written and intended.
Residential Coordinators are a role model for the staff, and always emphasize and exhibit person-centered princidples.
This includes:
Coordination of Person-Centered Plans Medical appointments
Assessments and consultations
New admissions
Behavioral Support Services Quality of data collection contained in clinical record
Employee training of all clinical services
The development and reviewing of all protocols
Supervising and training the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
Maintaining house/program budget
Scheduling staff in a manner which limits overtime
Working shifts as needed (to meet ratio needs)
Maintaining a safe and orderly program in accordance with the Scope of Work and with Volunteers of America Chesapeake’s policies and procedures RESIDENTIAL COORDINATOR
ACTIVITIES:
Available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure around the clock safety and supervision.
Provides day-to-day supervision of DSPs to ensure their duties and responsibilities are completed
Run appointments and day program drops, as needed.
Completes payroll of assigned staff and completes payroll adjustments.
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment for all persons served, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
Reports and documents unsafe conditions to the Clinical Coordinator.
Provide direct support to persons served, as needed, to meet ratio needs.
Delegate and ensure the replenishment of program supplies.
Ensures the ongoing maintenance of program van. Submit work orders, as needed.
Facilitate monthly staff meetings in conjunction with QIDP.Provides support as necessary to ensure needs as identified by the Inter-Disciplinary Team are met including all quality of life issues.
