At Amazon, we’re working to be the most customer‑centric company on earth. This role seeks a dynamic, organized self‑starter to join our Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability – Design & Construction Quality Management team as a Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize industry standard methodologies including PMP, Lean Six Sigma to engage teams and solve customer problems.
- Drive speed, quality, and simplification by eliminating rework loops, reducing and automating manual work, identifying best practices, and minimizing process variability.
- Motivate others to achieve impeccable quality in a growth and deadline‑driven environment.
- Diagnose Amazon processes, identify improvement opportunities, prescribe strategies, and guide improvement efforts.
- Lead and drive process improvements (short‑term wins) and process design/redesign (long‑term wins).
- Create global best‑practice documentation and facilitate sharing across the globe.
- Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders and translate execution pain‑points into benchmarking initiatives that improve processes, tools, and team capabilities.
This team focuses on defining processes within Preconstruction and Construction Execution, benchmarking across business units worldwide, and leveraging lean management principles.
Travel & LocationTravel up to 60% within assigned regions. Availability to work from corporate office when not traveling. Relocation assistance may be provided for suitable candidates.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, or transportation logistics.
- Experience in facility and infrastructure construction management.
- 3+ years of driving end‑to‑end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of driving process improvements.
- Experience in stakeholder management with multiple stakeholders at varied levels.
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
- PMP certificate.
- Master’s degree.
