Associate Director, Naval Radars & Capabilities

Overview

Associate Director for Naval Radars on the Naval Power Requirements and Capabilities team – lead campaigns to grow Raytheon’s customer base for integrated air and missile defense sensors and naval surface platforms. Develops campaign strategies, builds relationships with domestic and international customers, and coordinates with Business Development Executives and Naval Power business units.

• Identify, develop and assess new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential customers and their U.S. government counterparts.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in U.S. and international procurement and acquisition strategy.
• Participate in the development of strategic plans and country strategies.
• Prepare and request international licensing agreements.
• Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations at the Federal, State, and Local levels on public policy and technology advocacy.
• Travel approximately 30% domestic and international.

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in naval radars, shipboard systems, and naval operations, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Experience with the Aegis Combat Management System and integrated air and missile defense sensors, effectors, operations, and capabilities.
• Former U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer with experience in naval surface combat systems, sensors, and effectors.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding, including installation and testing of combat systems.
• Strategic thinking with a proven track record of assessing maritime war fighting requirements and developing innovative solutions.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for achieving mission success for customers.
• Experience in defense acquisition requirements generation and/or program management.

Arlington, VA or Chesapeake, VA.

Approximately 30% domestic and international travel.

Salary range: 172,900 USD – 328,700 USD.
