We are currently seeking a Senior Program Manager located in the Washington, D.C. area.
What you’ll do:The Senior Program Manager will provide program management support to D PAE Maritime/SEA 21, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.
Responsibilities:- Oversee planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives. (Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs or tasks.)
- Define, organize, and direct short- and long-range program plans, including formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach, and defining and negotiating for necessary resources.
- Establish and control technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and costs.
- Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
- Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
- Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
- Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
- Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist inthe preparation and closure of action items
- Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
- Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients
- At least 10 years of experience providing program management support to U.S. Navy program offices
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Point
- Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in businessor financial related field from an institution accredited in the United States
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
