Assembler I

Location:

South Chesterfield, VA

Shift: 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. or later depending on completion of production

We are looking for an Assembler I who will work cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high-quality glass, doors, frames and subcomponents.

• Assemble or produce component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies or units according to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.
• Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gauges, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
• Perform end-of-line product checks and/or repairs.
• Notify and communicate with assemblers, leads, and supervisors of upstream changes to ensure products meet specifications.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Recommend inline and subsequent checks to increase first-pass yield.

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–2 years of production or assembly work

• Basic reading and writing skills
• Understanding of 6S
• Ability to read and understand all job specifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods
