Amazon is searching for a conscientious, high-judgment, fast reasoning News Checking Facilitator to join its Corporate Interchanges group. The news monitoring group upholds various advertising functions inside Amazon by checking web news and events, distinguishing prominent stories or posts, and managing the company’s public relations email account. This group is fundamental to the overall state of Amazon’s advertising division, giving colleagues a unique experience and insight into how advertising functions at a large organization.

This role requires:

• Peruse and evaluate high volumes of data, recognize news trends, actively use search tools, and contribute through data and pattern analysis.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines, and shifting gears immediately.
• Operate flexibly, including possible flex hours.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor news across web and event channels, filtering content for relevance to Amazon’s business.
• Identify significant stories, assess their impact, and forward insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the public relations email account, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
• Analyze trends and patterns to inform strategic communications initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of ongoing experience in journalism, communications, or advertising.
• Four-year degree in communications, advertising, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in news‑casting or search engine optimization.
