Our client is a nonprofit providing housing, medical respite care, and support services to help individuals experiencing homelessness achieve stability and independence. The Outreach Program Monitor - RPC will support community outreach efforts and assist homeless individuals in Arlington, VA. The position offers a pay rate of $20.00 per hour and is part‑time, contract arrangement. This is a part‑time position based in Arlington, VA, paying $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Actively seek out and work with homeless persons throughout Arlington County initiating engagement to support additional services.
  • Build trust and rapport by offering emergency assistance such as food, clothing, sleeping bags, and shower vouchers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients and community members, maintaining a friendly, courteous attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Participate in outreach programs and community outreach calls.
  • Assist clients in accessing available services and ensure safety during crisis situations.
  • Maintain logs of client contacts, donations, and daily facility activities.
  • Coordinate efforts with community partners to facilitate housing and service access for homeless individuals.
  • Ensure safety of clients and staff through safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Conduct informal assessments to determine clients’ social and economic needs.
  • Develop and implement day programming for clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; experience in human services preferred.
  • Experience working with homeless individuals and in multicultural settings preferred.
  • Patience, persistence, and concern for client welfare required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and client confidentiality.
  • Driver’s license and car insurance required.
