The National Council on Aging seeks a Lead, SNAP to guide strategy and execution of SNAP outreach and enrollment initiatives for older adults. This role manages national partnerships, provides technical assistance to community agencies, and oversees data-driven outreach campaigns that boost food security. The Lead coordinates training, monitors performance, ensures compliance with program requirements, and produces reports for funders and stakeholders.

Collaborating across NCOA, this position advances equitable access to benefits and informs advocacy to strengthen nutrition and aging services nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and implementation of SNAP outreach and enrollment initiatives for older adults nationwide.
  • Manage and support partnerships with community organizations and agencies delivering SNAP services.
  • Provide technical assistance and training on SNAP policies, outreach best practices, and enrollment processes.
  • Use data to design and refine outreach campaigns, track performance, and improve impact.
  • Ensure program compliance with SNAP and funder requirements, including quality and documentation standards.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and insights for funders, leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with policy, communications, and program teams to advance food security.
  • Support development of tools, resources, and curricula to strengthen local SNAP service capacity.
  • Contribute field insights to advocacy efforts that improve SNAP and related aging services.
  • Represent NCOA at meetings, webinars, and conferences on SNAP and older adult food security.
