OVERVIEW
USCRI manages multiple federally and privately funded refugee services programs across the United States through its network of affiliates and field offices. These programs support refugees and other eligible newcomers with initial resettlement, ongoing services, integration, and self-sufficiency. USCRI and its funders require on-site and remote monitoring of local refugee services against established grant, policy, and compliance standards. USCRI trains and supports Program Officers to conduct monitoring, document observations and findings, prepare reports, provide technical assistance, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.

The Program Officer supports the management of major federal grants by assisting with program reporting, data review, project analysis, monitoring, and training and technical assistance for local offices and affiliates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide national oversight and support for refugee services program activities across USCRI’s network of affiliates and field offices;
  • Deliver training and technical assistance to local providers on program implementation, compliance requirements, reporting expectations, and quality assurance practices;
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities to assess program performance, service quality, client outcomes, and compliance with federal guidelines and funder requirements;
  • Collect, review, and analyze program data to support grant reporting, project analysis, continuation applications, leadership updates, and funder deliverables;
  • Draft monitoring reports, document findings and recommendations, track corrective actions, and follow up with network offices to support timely resolution and continuous improvement;
  • Maintain program tools, trackers, templates, and documentation systems that support consistent monitoring, reporting, and technical assistance across the network;
  • Provide guidance and responsive support to affiliates and field offices on program requirements, documentation standards, reporting deadlines, and emerging implementation issues; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution with at least two years of progressive experience in resettlement, humanitarian services, nonprofit program management, or another relevant field; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of progressive, relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing case management, employment services, domestic refugee resettlement services, or overseas relief services is highly desirable.
