Compensation: $120,000 – $155,000 annually (based on experience)

OverviewA high-volume neurology and stroke program in Arlington, Texas, is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to support its inpatient neuro hospitalist service.
This role operates within a hybrid neurology care model, providing comprehensive inpatient neurological care across acute care, step-down, and critical care environments. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex neurological conditions in a collaborative healthcare setting.
Responsibilities- Manage inpatient neurology and stroke patients across acute care, step-down, and ICU settings
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans
- Participate in acute stroke response and rapid evaluation protocols
- Collaborate with neurologists, hospitalists, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Interpret diagnostic studies, including imaging and laboratory results
- Manage high-acuity neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurotrauma
- Support patient throughput, discharge planning, and transitions of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care needs
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Texas APRN and Registered Nurse licenses, or eligibility for licensure
- Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP or ACNP preferred)
- Minimum of two years of inpatient or hospital-based Nurse Practitioner experience
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience in neurology, stroke, neurocritical care, or hospital medicine
- Experience with stroke protocols, ICU-level care, or hospitalist workflows
- Familiarity with electroencephalography (EEG), lumbar puncture procedures, or advanced neurological diagnostics
- Salary: $120,000 – $155,000 annually
