Clinical Coordinator RN - OB/GYN

Purpose & Scope:

In addition to providing patient care, the Clinical Coordinator (RN) facilitates the daily patient flow through the department and supervises patient care delivery on each shift. The coordinator performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative, and coordinates multiple clinical tasks with a high degree of competency. This position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of clinical care.

• Facilitate daily patient flow within the OB/GYN department.
• Supervise patient care delivery on each shift.
• Execute technical procedures independently, employing judgment and initiative.
• Coordinate multiple clinical and administrative tasks to ensure competency and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to department and hospital policies and procedures.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required).
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or a compact state licensure in nursing.
• Minimum of two years of health‑care/patient care experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
