CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our home healthcare team. The CNA provides essential support to our patients within the home setting. The ideal candidate requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient service while adhering to safety and health regulations. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with nursing staff to ensure the well-being of patients, assisting them with daily activities and medical needs.

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Provide basic life support when necessary and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Support hospice care by providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
• Utilize Wellsky Home Health EMR system for documenting patient information accurately.
• Lift and transfer patients safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and changes.

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant by the Virginia Board of Nursing
• Active CPR certification.
• Experience in home health is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Wellsky Home Health (formerly known as Kinnser) or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift patients safely, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
• Compassionate approach to patient service, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with children is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
