Arlington Animal Hospital has proudly served the Arlington community and surrounding areas since 1938. Originally located in an older building, we moved to our modern,fully‑equipped facility in 2019. As an AAHA‑accredited practice, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized care for dogs and cats—many of whom we’ve treated across generations of pet parents.
We’re currently looking to add a full‑time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to our team of five veterinarians and a highly collaborative support staff.
What We’re Looking ForLicensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
- Must be licensed or license‑eligible in Virginia (new grads welcome!)
- Confident in technical skills and ready to support high‑quality medical care
- Values open communication, equal treatment, and teamwork
- Enthusiastic about client education and patient advocacy
- AAHA‑accredited since 2019
- 30–40 minute appointments to allow for in‑room care and strong client communication
- Surgery performed Tuesdays & Fridays (soft tissue; orthopedics referred out)
- Digital dental radiography on every dental
- In‑house Idexx lab equipment
- Avimark practice software
- Mobile diagnostic ultrasound via Butterfly Ultrasound
- Everyone is treated equally and respected
- Communication is open, honest, and constructive
- We minimize taking pets “to the back” to prioritize in‑room care and comfort
- Longstanding client relationships are the norm—and we often see multiple generations of pet families
- 4‑day work week with rotating Saturdays (clinic hours listed below)
- Same weekday off every week
- Closed Sundays – no after‑hours or on‑call responsibilities
- Competitive compensation based on experience
