Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a motivated EHS Specialist to support safety and compliance initiatives in our food manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role ensures adherence to OSHA, EPA, and state/local requirements while driving a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Records
    :
    Maintain all safety and accident records.
  • Audit Support
    :
    Support contractor audits and EHS policies/standards.
  • Program Development
    :
    Develop and implement safety programs across manufacturing facilities.
  • Environmental Compliance
    :
    Ensure compliance with environmental management systems.
  • Documentation
    :
    Generate and maintain documentation related to EHS initiatives.
  • Inspections
    :
    Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce safety protocols.
  • Training
    :
    Deliver site safety training to employees.
  • Compliance Reviews
    :
    Participate in internal and external compliance reviews and audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of EHS experience in food manufacturing, processing, cold storage, warehouse, or industrial production.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA
    , EPA
    , and state/local safety regulations.
  • Expert knowledge of safety system analysis and compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting safety training, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify hazards and risks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
