Beauty Counter Manager - Chanel - Pentagon

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals, utilizing both in‑store and digital selling tools (inclusive of text and social media).
• Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results.
• Keep the department customer‑ready through organization and cleanliness.
• Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequently use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Hourly: $23.00 – $23.90. Commission for beauty and men’s fragrance sales is typically 3%. Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%.
