Founded in 2008, Free Run is a leading independent importer and distributor serving restaurants and boutique retailers throughout Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland. We are seeking a high-performing wine & spirits professional to manage and thoughtfully grow an established Northern Virginia territory, serving a strong base of independent on- and off-premise wholesale accounts.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a proven sales professional who can both steward existing relationships and strategically grow the territory for years to come.

The right candidate will balance hustle with long-term thinking; building something meaningful for customers, suppliers, teammates, and the broader hospitality community.

* Experienced in wholesale wine & spirits sales with a record of achieving and exceeding goals

* Well-connected in Northern Virginia with strong local market familiarity

* Exceptional at building trust and long-term relationships

* Honest, thoughtful, and collaborative

* Energetic, organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented

* Skilled in time management, territory planning, and strategic account development

* Motivated to grow the business sustainably - not just chase short-term wins

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS

* Reside in and have intimate familiarity with the assigned Northern Virginia territory

* Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs

* Ability to work evening and weekend events

* Reliable personal vehicle

* Willingness to travel within the region daily and occasionally beyond for supplier visits, portfolio events, team meetings, and trade trips

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation Structure:
Base salary + commission

* Expected Salary Range: $70,000 – $110,000 per year

* On-Target Earnings (OTE): $80,000+

* Commission:
Uncapped and designed to reward sustainable, strategic growth

Compensation is based on experience, performance, and the ability to drive meaningful, long-term results.
