Job Summary

We are seeking a positive, motivated, and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in prospecting new business and relationship building, while maintaining a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities
  • New Business Development:
    Identify and prospect clients within your assigned territory and develop & manage leads, through 8 – 10 daily sales appointments. Ensure timely follow‑up through the Lansing Sales Cycle.
  • Customer Meetings:
    Meet face to face and educate contractors, remodelers, & builders on our products/services, demonstrating the value and benefits for their organization.
  • Relationship Building:
    Establish and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and proactively offering solutions.
  • Sales Reporting:
    Utilize Salesforce to track and report on sales activities.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; confident and persuasive demeanor. Ability to establish rapport & deliver on promises.
  • Winning mindset: A relentless drive to drive new business and exceed sales targets.
  • Time management:
    Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision.

    Passion for understanding and fulfilling client needs to help them grow their business using a solutions‑oriented approach.
  • Integrity:
    History of strong ethical behavior and high integrity.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in territory management, B2B outside sales, with a focus on new business development.
  • Experience with CRM software to manage and track sales activity.
  • Familiarity with Building Materials, Construction, or Wholesale Territory Sales.
  • College degree preferred but not required.

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission, with a strong focus on performance‑based incentives.
