Overview

This is not your typical Sales Development role. Take the lead in unlocking growth potential for both new and existing AWS customers. As an AWS Demand Generation Representative you will shape the future of how technology is deployed for AWS customers and contribute to the Cloud Sales Center (CSC) team focused on prospects and customers across thousands of accounts.

AWS offers an innovative environment with a learning and earning path within a growing sales organization. You will own top-of-funnel activity, conduct high-quality account research, source net-new contacts at scale, and execute high-volume prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity generation for assigned territories. You will collaborate with Account Teams to understand primary industries, accounts, and personas, and you will develop relationships across organizational levels while identifying new customer use cases.

Responsibilities
  • Work with other sales team members to ensure opportunities are understood and next steps are clearly defined via demonstrations, discovery, and qualification.
  • Leverage product knowledge and internal resources to meet customers’ needs.
  • Achieve input and output goals including contacts sourced, leads qualified, customer calls completed, meetings scheduled, and opportunities created.
  • Drive net-new business via outbound campaigns (one-to-many and one-to-one) in addition to qualifying inbound opportunities from marketing and partner channels.
  • Expand services breadth and consumption within existing customer base through account planning and territory management.
  • Accurately track activity and develop pipeline using Salesforce or other CRM tools, with self-service reporting capabilities.
  • Innovate in engaging with new customers and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Understand the technology footprint, challenges, and business objectives of each customer.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in IT sales
  • Experience navigating prospective accounts from and into a senior executive level to identify new customer opportunities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales or equivalent certification
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
