Position OverviewThe Sales Manager is a quota‑driven role within the hotel’s Sales department, responsible for managing assigned accounts and driving revenue performance. This position requires an experienced sales professional with 2–4 years in the hospitality industry. The Sales Manager functions in a client‑facing capacity, acting as the primary point of contact for account management and contributing directly to overall account performance.
This position primarily manages group accounts with 151 or more peak room nights, with or without associated events. Key responsibilities include developing new business through proactive prospecting using Hyatt systems and external resources, executing regular sales calls and strategic sales initiatives, and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Sales Manager will collaborate with hotel operations to support on‑site group experiences and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, with the goal of securing repeat business. Moderate travel may be required; candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel, including air travel, as needed.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute proactive prospecting strategies to generate new business.
- Maintain regular sales calls and strategic sales initiatives.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
- Collaborate with hotel operations to support on‑site group experiences and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed sales goals within the assigned large market segments.
- Adapt to market assignments and performance expectations as directed by hotel leadership.
- A bachelor's degree or 1–3 years of hotel sales experience, with demonstrated success in generating and managing group business.
- Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred.
- Training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills preferred.
- A self‑starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- A resilient problem‑solver who remains composed when navigating challenging client situations.
- A collaborative team player who brings positive energy, adaptability, and a “can‑do” spirit to every interaction.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Receptive to feedback with a willingness to learn and apply it toward continuous improvement.
Salary Range: $81,000 – $105,000
