Position: Group Sales Manager-Large Market Group

Job Summary

The Sales Manager is a quota‑driven role within the hotel’s Sales department, responsible for managing assigned accounts and driving revenue performance.

To be successful, the candidate must have 2–4 years of experience in the hospitality industry and be capable of acting as the primary point of contact for account management, contributing directly to overall account performance.

Key Responsibilities

This role primarily manages large group accounts with 151 or more peak room nights, with or without associated events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing new business through proactive prospecting using Hyatt systems and external resources;
  • Executing regular sales calls and strategic sales initiatives;
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Collaborating with hotel operations to support on‑site group experiences and secure repeat business;
  • Traveling, including air travel, as required.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree or 1–3 years of hotel sales experience, with demonstrated success in generating and managing group business;
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge;
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills;
  • Completion of Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training is preferred;
  • Skills in selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation are preferred;
  • A self‑starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure;
  • A resilient problem‑solver who remains composed when navigating challenging client situations;
  • A collaborative team player who brings positive energy, adaptability, and a “can‑do” spirit to every interaction;
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
  • Receptive to feedback with a willingness to learn and apply it toward continuous improvement.
