Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced principal technical business development manager to develop and lead a plan to expand Auto’s relationships with OEMs, drive revenue targets, and work closely with Ads, BD and product organizations. This role requires exceptional business acumen, technical understanding, and the ability to influence executive levels across external partners and within Amazon.
Key Responsibilities- Drive and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies to accelerate partnership growth and exceed Amazon Autos' ambitious targets for OEM collaboration.
- Orchestrate collaboration between Amazon Autos and cross‑functional teams to identify, structure, secure and manage high‑value strategic partnerships with premier automotive OEMs.
- Lead cross‑functional partnership initiatives with commercial teams and product groups to enable full vehicle selection, public endorsements, and joint innovation opportunities.
- Help shape product strategy and innovation by translating OEM partner requirements into actionable insights for engineering and product teams.
- Contribute to complex deal negotiations and strategic partnership discussions with major automotive manufacturers.
- Establish and nurture C‑level relationships with key OEM partners while maintaining strong internal stakeholder alignment.
- Foster cross‑Amazon collaboration to leverage existing relationships and differentiate on a pan‑Amazon basis.
- Drive data‑driven decision making by developing and tracking key performance metrics, market analytics, and competitive intelligence to identify partnership opportunities and optimize collaboration strategies across the automotive vertical.
As a senior BD leader, you'll shape how we collaborate with automotive manufacturers to expand vehicle selection and drive joint innovation. You'll drive GTM initiatives and secure/manage major partnerships through commercial negotiations with top OEMs. The role involves partnership development through cross‑team collaboration, performance analysis, and strategic planning to enable public endorsements and joint innovation. You'll provide deal leadership from start to finish.

Required Qualifications- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
- 7+ years of professional or military experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
- Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner.
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations.
