Senior Scientist

Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Scientist to work in Arlington, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.

We are seeking a Senior Scientist candidate to provide onsite support to DARPA's Microsystems Technology Office (MTO). This role delivers technical, analytical, financial, and general administrative support across a broad range of technologies and disciplines for existing and future DARPA MTO efforts.

The successful candidate will support a DARPA program manager by leading or participating in all activities in project management, technical and programmatic risk analysis, program‑funded test coordination, and coordination with members of the Department of Defense for transition. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, assessing performer technical progress, projecting outcomes, ensuring best practices, and working with independent verification and validation entities funded by DARPA.

Duties also encompass developing point papers, slide decks, and other materials that convey the program’s need, status, and importance, as well as researching unique problem sets to aid national security priorities.

• Master’s Degree
• Active DOD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• 15+ years of experience
• Senior‑level experience in planning and developing technical research and development projects for Department of War (DOW) programs
• Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning, and conducting research in complex problem areas requiring unconventional or novel approaches
• Ability to independently conduct analysis and offer recommendations, solutions, and alternatives to resolve complex R&D issues related to DARPA Technical Offices
• Experience in senior leadership roles within technical organizations, providing strategic scientific guidance on cutting‑edge research initiatives
• Recognized as an expert in their field of study or technology
• Extensive published articles in the field, demonstrating thought leadership and recognition within the broader scientific community

• At least ten (10) years of extensive experience, background, and knowledge of one or more DARPA programs
• At least seven (7) years of experience working with DARPA Program Managers
