Cloud Operations Manager Security Clearance

Nightwing is seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end management of Bespin cloud engagement kits for a U.S. government customer, ensuring rapid deployment, maintenance, and retirement of cloud-based infrastructure supporting critical incident response and threat hunting operations.

• Oversee provisioning and fulfillment of engagement kit requests within eight business hours of federal authorization.
• Manage decommissioning and secure termination of engagement kits following data archival confirmation.
• Coordinate with engagement leads, analysts, case managers, and federal leadership to ensure mission alignment.
• Produce and deliver weekly operational reports summarizing engagement kit status, health, and performance metrics.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for cloud infrastructure issues.
• Manage resource allocation, scaling operations to match engagement requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols including TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption and hardened cloud configurations.
• Oversee software license management and coordinate hardware shipments when required.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cloud operations.
• Serve as primary liaison between technical teams and government stakeholders.

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud operations or infrastructure management.
• 3+ years of management or team leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response operations.
• Experience managing 24/7 operational environments.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to brief senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.

• Experience supporting federal government programs.
• Background in cybersecurity operations or threat hunting.
• Experience with Dev Ops methodologies and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or high school diploma and 10+ years of directly relevant experience.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud certification.
