Duties DUTY 1:
Provides direction and guidance for the Information Security Program for Special Access Programs (SAPs) as designated by the Secretary of the Air Force. DUTY 2:
Directs the Administration of the Information Systems Security Program. DUTY 3:
Directs the Personnel Security Program. Provides policy interpretation and guidance for the Personnel Security Program for the System Program Officers, government agencies and all entities involved in the SAP. DUTY 4:
Directs the Physical Security Program. Ensures appropriate documentation and accreditors of Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) are performed. DUTY 5:
Provides policy oversight and interpretation to staff agency security managers and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO) in implementing security education and motivation programs. Requirements Conditions of employment

* All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

* The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
* Incumbent will be subject to psychological screening / Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph as an inherent primary requirement of their position.
* The employee will be required to work overtime as dictated by mission requirements.
* The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position. Qualifications This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of a major area of security specialization with demonstrated mastery of security administration programs. Comprehensive knowledge of security policy requirements to function as technical authorities in assignments requiring the application of theories and development to security problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted security methods, technology and procedures: knowledge in resolving major conflicts in policy and program objectives.
Mastery of knowledge in performing key decision-making and policy developing responsibilities in complex assignments such as planning for significantly new far reaching security programs requirements, or leading or participating as a technical expert in interagency study groups resolving problems in existing security systems and programs requiring innovative solutions.
