Position: Supervisory Security Specialist with Security Clearance
Duties
* Provide administrative and technical oversight of subordinate security specialists.
* Develop and justify organizational structure, manpower, and budgetary requirements.
* Direct the organization's Personnel Security Program.
* Provide recommendations to leadership on position sensitivity, risk designations, and hiring decisions based on investigation results.
* Oversee the planning and implementation of a multi-layered physical security and crime prevention strategy.
* Manage the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Operations Security (OPSEC) programs to protect sensitive and classified information.
* Direct the organization's Emergency Management (EM) program.
* Analyze national security threats to determine their impact on ANC operations.
* Evaluate and approve security plans to ensure the safety of all participants. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
* Must obtain Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes implementing physical security and/or anti-terrorism programs during high visibility and/or high-volume events; analyzing security threats to determine appropriate countermeasures; developing emergency action plans for installation and/or facility; and performing law enforcement liaison functions to resolve security matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information
