Security Specialist

USA Government Jobs -  - Responsibilities:
Serve as the principal action officer on the entire spectrum of DS security responsibilities in the assigned regional area to assure that the services provided by the RD Office are current, timely, and adequately support diplomatic/consular posts.;
Prepares briefing papers relating to the security posture of overseas posts for use by decision-makers prior to conducting inspections of the posts.;
Develops Department instructions, cables, correspondence, and memos on all phases of operational security matters.;
Reviews and evaluates security programs and operations at posts to provide policy, planning, and budgetary guidance as well as to advise on security capabilities, weaknesses, and threats to people, property and information.;
Participates in professional security seminars, conferences, and meetings to share information on overseas security matters, including physical, procedural, personnel, and information security.
