About the Position
Serve as the Supervisory Security Specialist for Arlington National Cemetery (ANC), responsible for managing and directing a comprehensive protection program. This program encompasses anti‑terrorism, physical security, personnel security, information security, operations security, and emergency management.

- Manage and direct a comprehensive protection program covering anti‑terrorism, physical security, personnel security, information security, operations security, and emergency management.
- Implement physical security and/or anti‑terrorism programs during high visibility and/or high‑volume events.
- Analyze security threats to determine appropriate countermeasures.
- Develop emergency action plans for installation and/or facility.
- Perform law enforcement liaison functions to resolve security matters.
- One year of specialized experience that includes implementing physical security and/or anti‑terrorism programs during high visibility and/or high‑volume events; analyzing security threats to determine appropriate countermeasures; developing emergency action plans for installation and/or facility; and performing law enforcement liaison functions to resolve security matters.
- Experience may include paid, unpaid, volunteer, or professional service; all qualifying experience will be credited.
- Experience alone is required; no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
- Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS‑12).
