Nuclear Stockpile Stewardship SME
The Opportunity:
As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need a seasoned research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. As a member of our strategic deterrence and nuclear integration team, you'll lead a team supporting our client's objective to maintain a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent aligned to national defense strategies.
In this role, you'll be responsible for bolstering leadership decision-making, strengthening interagency cohesion, and preparing agencies such as the AF to navigate the evolving global nuclear landscape. You won't go at it alone. You'll guide a team in performing the analysis and providing policy recommendations regarding nuclear stockpile stewardship and modernization.
Use your advanced academic expertise, extensive professional experience, and understanding of national security policy to ensure our clients are fully prepared to contribute strategically to nuclear weapons management, policy formulation, interagency collaboration, and the broader defense mission.

You Have:
10+ years of experience working professionally in classified environments
Experience with nuclear stockpile stewardship,nuclear policy, or broader defense and national security strategy
Experience working across the nuclear enterprise
Experience engaging national-level interagency stakeholders such as Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of War, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories
Knowledge of nuclear weapons physics
TS/SCI clearance
Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, National Security Studies, or Chemistry
Nice If You Have:
Experience with HQ USAF, Joint Staff, STRATCOM, or AFGSC
Ability to be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) and Special Access Required (SAR)
Possession of strong critical and strategic thinking skills
Possession of strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Health Physicist Certification
International Atomic Energy Agency Certification
National Weapons Laboratories Certification
Quality Control Certification
Completion of Department of Energy qualification for nuclear safety management
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
