The AFRL Foundational Technologies Directorate (AFRL/REA/DET
14) seeks to hire a mid-level, DO-02 Personnel and Industrial Security Specialist (0080) to join the AFOSR Security Team in Arlington, VA. The incumbent will lead and manage the overall AFOSR Personnel Security and Industrial Security Programs to include all geographical locations to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.

• Develops, implements, oversees processes to ensure personnel maintain necessary clearance levels.
• Establishes and maintains comprehensive procedures to review/update Security Access Requirements and Position Sensitivities.
• Manages the initiation, review, and submission of security investigations, overseeing the process and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Manages the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), etc. and coordinates fingerprinting as needed.
• Coordinates and manages security clearances/investigations, sends/receives visit requests, and in/out processes via DISS.
• Leads the Insider Threat/Continuous Vetting Programs.
• Oversees security termination statements, nondisclosure agreements, etc.
• Develops and manages NATO and CNWDI briefings/debriefings.
• Collaborates with Special Security Offices to manage SCI accesses and administer unit SCI Billet structure, ensuring necessary briefings/debriefings.
• Manages and maintains DISS access for internal personnel.
• Ensures the protection of sensitive information, ensuring total confidentiality.
• Serves as the liaison for requests for information from the Consolidated Adjudication Services (CAS).
• Leverages and manages the Trusted Associates Sponsorship System (TASS) to oversee security requirements and issue Contractor CACs.
• Leads the DD254 process and ensures bi-annual reviews are conducted and recorded.
• Develops, delivers, and evaluates initial and periodic security trainings and distributes security education and awareness materials.
• Contributes to the strategic management of the Information Security Program and applies DoD, USAF, MAJCOM, and Center policies for the protection of classified and controlled unclassified information.

• United States Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade equivalent to DO-1.

• Determining eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and granting personnel security clearances/accesses in the presence of minor derogatory information.
• Responding to or resolving complex problems or questions involving personnel security and suitability for service-related matters.
• Utilizing oral and written communication.
• Interpreting Personnel Security policies to make recommendations regarding processes and procedures.
• Applying security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve security problems.
