Carpenter
This role is located OCONUS and is contingent on contract award. The position requires experienced carpentry skills to support mission‑critical infrastructure for the Department of Defense and related agencies.
Duties- Perform routine and preventative maintenance of building woodwork and associated equipment.
- Design, build, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials, including furniture, stairways, door frames, partitions, and rafters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements and provide accurate work estimates.
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass and drywall) according to measurements.
- Inspect building frameworks (e.g., walls, roofs) to identify the need for repairs or replacements and ensure structural integrity.
- Liaise with other maintenance teams to coordinate renovations or major repair tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during all construction activities.
- Maintain accurate records of materials inventory and task completion to ensure accountability and project tracking.
- Other duties as required.
- Secret clearance with eligibility to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ten years of experience, including two years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Practical knowledge of repairs and installation of floor and ceiling tile, walls (plaster, block, drywall), masonry work, locksmithing, cabinet making, framing, formwork, and general knowledge of the painting trade.
- Experience operating small power tools and machinery as required.
- Experience reading blueprints and performing material take‑offs from prints.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Active and current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
- Effective leadership and communication skills to professionally work with the customer and subordinates.
- Knowledge of PM programs.
