Heavy Construction Equipment Technician

Work Period:
Immediate Start, Full Time

• Implement preventative maintenance program for site based heavy duty construction and paving equipment and haulage trucks
• Ensure that equipment and machinery in good working order and defects noted to Project Manager / Project Superintendent
• Prepare list for maintenance and spare parts as required
• Responsible for stock control of equipment spares, consumables, etc.
• Maintain and secure work tools
• Cleaning and maintenance of work area and stores
• Ensure that equipment maintenance and repairs works carried out in a safe manner
• Night shift working within live airfield environment may be required
• Travel between project locations within US as required

The above R&Rs are those generally required of an Equipment Mechanic, but more specific duties may be required and assigned as Project requirements dictate.

• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures for equipment and vehicle repair.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience.

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
