CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an API/Java/Python Developer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state‑of‑the‑art capabilities. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and APIs using Java and Python, with a focus on backend development, API integration, and often cloud‑based solutions.

It requires close collaboration with systems engineers and developers to ensure information security and deliver high‑quality, scalable IT solutions.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable applications and APIs using Java and Python, writing clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring secure and efficient communication between different systems and applications, including integration of third‑party APIs and services.
• Work with various database systems such as SQL and No
  
  SQL databases (Postgre
  
  SQL, Mongo
  
  DB, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams, to define requirements, integrate components, and ensure seamless functionality.
• Optimize code and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to security best practices in data handling and API authentication.
• Implement and integrate cloud services and APIs (AWS, Azure, GCP) for cloud‑native solutions and deployments, where applicable.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for existing applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with system engineers and developers to ensure information security.

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of experience.
• TS security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI with CI Poly.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming languages and associated frameworks (Spring Boot, Flask, Django).
• Strong understanding of API architectural styles (REST, Graph
  
  QL, SOAP) and experience with API development tools (Postman, Swagger UI).
• Familiarity with database systems (SQL and/or No
  
  SQL).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

The current compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $.
